Anxiety is a natural response to challenges and stressful situations in our life. Anxiety is the brain’s way of protecting us from potential harm by triggering the body’s “fight, flight, or freeze” responses. Therefore, experiencing a little anxiety from time to time is normal. However, experiencing too much anxiety that is continuous can be unhealthy for our physical and mental health.
